The US administration is seeking shelter for thousands of unaccompanied migrant children, calling on the Pentagon to find military facilities capable of receiving them. Last June, the Pentagon ordered the identification of possible facilities to accommodate 20,000 minors. He has identified three military bases, including three in Texas and one in Arkansas.
The administration of President Donald Trump has called on the Pentagon to find military facilities that can accommodate 5,000 unaccompanied immigrant children, US Defense Department spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Davis said.
Davis said the Pentagon would "identify potential places" to accommodate these children, adding that the request was made by the Health Ministry on Tuesday.
