At midday Sunday, a special Royal Air Maroc flight carrying Moroccans from Wuhan landed at Benslimane Airport, carrying 167 passengers, including 52 women.
Their parents did not hide their happiness and wanted to thank King Mohammed VI who gave the order to repatriate the Moroccans from China because of the spread of the Coronavirus. When the bus carrying the passengers arrived at Sidi Said hospital in Meknes, several women threw youyous to celebrate the repatriation of their children. “We were so afraid for our children. This virus terrorized us. We are all looking forward to taking them in our arms and being reassured about their state of health, ”said a mother. "I am happy that my brother is safe and sound and that he has been able to return to Morocco," added a young girl.
Recall that the repatriation operation was carried out in accordance with the High Instructions of King Mohammed VI, in perfect coordination between all the departments concerned.
A medical team, made up of doctors and nurses, civil and military, accompanied the nationals from Wuhan to the reception sites at the Sidi Said hospital in Meknes and at the Mohammed V military hospital in Rabat, where they were placed. under observation, under close medical supervision for 20 days, under the supervision of dedicated and trained teams.
In order to preserve their health security and that of their families, while ensuring their maximum comfort during the observation period, these sites have been meticulously fitted out and equipped with all the necessary medical devices.
While reaffirming that no case of illness due to the new virus has been recorded in our country to date, the Ministry of Health reassures citizens that it will continue to inform them regularly, as well on medical follow-up of returnees only on the development of the situation relating to this global alert.
